Firebox for radio alarm clocks

Firebox was the idea of two Cardiff based university students back
in 1998. Since they began trading, they have grown to such an extent
that in 2004 they were named as the 13th fastest growing, privately
owned business in the UK. From an initial, very limited, product range,
they now stock a huge range of products, from Top Trumps to the latest
technological advances – all with the aim of making life a little more
fun!

They specialise in toys for boys and if there is something that you
haven’t thought of and don’t really need – you will find it on Firebox!
The only problem is, once you see some of their great ideas, you can’t
help but want to have them.

So, what’s all this got to do with radio alarm clocks? Well, they
stock some of the most innovative alarm clock ideas. Why not click here
to visit the Firebox website and take a look.

Clocky Alarm Clock review

So… The alarm goes off (does it go off? Or does it go on? Either way – it makes a noise to wake you up) and you roll over and press snooze… NOT ANY MORE! This is an alarm clock with a difference. When it goes off/on, it runs away, so you can’t hit the snooze. By the time you have found it and turned it off, you’re up anyway, so you may as well go to work – genius!

If you get fed up of chasing Clocky around the room, the wheels are removable – but that pretty much defeats the purpose. Another option is to change the snooze setting, so you can have a little bit of a lay in before it shoots off around the room.

Clocky is also not too expensive, so would make a great gift for the friend who is always late for everything (if you don’t have a friend who’s always late, that means it’s you – so you better get it for yourself!).

This alarm clock is available on both I Want One Of Those and Firebox – why not click through and find out more.

PURE Chronos CD DAB Clock Radio review

Wake up to digital quality sound with this DAB clock radio. One of the best features of this digital clock radio is that the clock always has the correct time. If you have a power cut during the night, the time automatically sorts itself out – meaning you will never be late for work again!

The digital radio is of typical high PURE quality, and the clock radio also features a CD player and a FM tuner with 20 presets. The LCD display automatically brightens when the room is light so it can still easily be seen, and dulls down when the room is dark so it doesn’t lighten up the room when you are trying to sleep – while still allowing you to see the time.

The alarm feature is particularly well thought through, allowing you to set an alarm to repeat every weekday, so you don’t need to turn it off before bed on a Friday night – or run the risk of being rudely awoken – and you don’t need to remember to set it again on a Sunday night.

All in all, it’s a great alarm - it is not that cheap but we feel it represents great value for money. The PURE Chronos CD DAB Clock Radio is available on the Currys website.

Neverlate Executive Alarm Clock review

September 9, 2008 by SleepyBob · Leave a Comment

This alarm clock has everything! It is ideal for a couple who need to wake up at different times. You can set alarms for 2 people at different times every day of the week – so if you need to get up at 7am on a Monday, 10am on a Tuesday and 6am on Wednesday, that’s no problem, just program in the different times and away you go.

In fact, pretty much every function of this alarm clock can be tailored to your needs – the alarm duration, the snooze duration and the brightness of the backlight can all be set to your individual requirements.

Another great feature of this alarm clock is the gradual wake up mode, where the radio gets louder and louder the longer you leave it on. Descending snooze is another great feature, every time you press snooze it gets shorter and shorter, so you have to get up in the end!

Add to this the USB port to plug in your ipod (or other generic MP3 player!) and the 20 preset radio stations and you have a great all round alarm clock.
