Looking for a great clock radio to use with your iPod? Here is the Philips DC200, a great clock radio complete with an iPod dock and mp3 connection. Not only is this a great-looking unit, it sports fantastic sound and a bag full of features. Yet another great thing about this clock is that it has the ability to play back music directly from a USB device, like a thumb drive or storage device.
On the decent-sized LCD screen the clock will show you what track you are playing, as well as the time of course. When you are setting your alarm you can choose from waking up to your own music, the radio or a selection of pre-loaded nature sounds. The sound quality is pretty good in a small room, but don’t expect it to replace your regular stereo or anything. For the price, you are getting a fair sounding clock radio with iPod capability. It is nice looking, has all the features you need and then some. Anyone who likes to listen to their music by their bedside will find that the Philips DC200 Clock Radio fits the bill perfectly, so if you have an iPod lover in the family and are on a budget this is a great choice, and you can never go wrong with Philips.

Lumie Bodyclock Classic Alarm Clock review
November 20, 2008 by Our Radio Alarm Clock Correspondent · Leave a Comment
For those who are interested in a light therapy clock the Lumie Bodyclock Classic is a great choice. Not only does it help improve mood and sleep patterns, it also has great styling with its old-fashioned clock face complimented with a chrome finish.
Decreasing natural sunlight during winter months can interfere with the body’s natural rhythms, causing sleep trouble and even negatively effecting mood. Light therapy increases the amount of serotonin in the brain which lifts the mood, and falling asleep or waking up to the equivalent of a sunset or sunrise helps reset the body and lets you wake and sleep more naturally. With this clock you set the 30-minute timer before going to bed and it will slowly decrease the light in the room, which signals your brain to go to sleep. In the morning the clock will slowly illuminate so you wake up gradually and are rested and refreshed.
Besides the great look and help of light therapy, the clock also has a back up buzzer alarm for deep sleepers and AM/FM radio so you can wake up to a favourite station or traffic and weather report. For those who like a little illumination at night there is a setting to leave the lamp on a small amount.
The Lumie Bodyclock Classic has a great design and many good features for anyone looking for a combination clock and light therapy lamp. If you are in the market for an alarm clock anyways you should try one that incorporates light therapy, it will give you a better sleep and more energy.
Oregon Daylight Projection Clock review
November 16, 2008 by Our Radio Alarm Clock Correspondent · Leave a Comment
The Oregon Daylight Projection Clock is a modern, cool-looking clock that will fit perfectly into your modern décor. The clock has a nice bright display and projects the date, time and temperature on the wall when the alarm goes off in the morning. The clock even has sensors that detect the amount of light in the room and adjust the brightness of the projection accordingly.
One of the most amazing things about this clock is that you don’t need to touch the clock at all to turn off the alarm, just need wave your hand over the LED projection and the alarm will cease. You can even do the same to adjust the display settings – cool!
The LCD display is big and bright, allowing you to easily read it at any time, day or night. The projection feature means you never have to crane your head around to look at the clock when your alarm goes off in the morning, just look up. And with a wave of your hand you can snooze the clock to squeeze in a few more zzzzs before rolling yourself out of bed.
Anyone you know who likes gadgets and sleek lines will appreciate this clock as a gift, or even a housewarming present. The clock likes to draw the eye, and accentuates a bedroom with its stylish black and chrome design.
