The Oregon Daylight Projection Clock is a modern, cool-looking clock that will fit perfectly into your modern décor. The clock has a nice bright display and projects the date, time and temperature on the wall when the alarm goes off in the morning. The clock even has sensors that detect the amount of light in the room and adjust the brightness of the projection accordingly.

This is a beast among radio alarm clocks! It’s not just a radio, not even just a clock radio – but an Ipod docking clock radio! That’s right, dock you Ipod and blast out tunes to your hearts content, then fall asleep, and wake up to the tunes of your choice.

MP3 Music Alarm Clock Cube review

If you don’t immediately fall in love with this clock’s design then there may be something wrong with you. The MP3 Music Alarm Clock is so lovely it is practically a work of art. Besides being exceedingly beautiful in its design, this clock is amazingly functional as well. Wake up to an alarm or your own music, the choice is yours with this great clock.

The best feature about this clock is the fact that you have two options when it comes to your personal music list. You can plug right into your computer with a USB cable and upload your tunes into the clock’s internal memory, or if you can plug a memory card right into the clock with your tunes already preloaded.

If you want to take your tunes outside you can stick in some batteries and take your clock with you. Although the clock is small in stature, it pumps out some great music wherever you take it. The clock will last up to 12 hours on battery, or you can use the included adaptor to plug in to a main power source. If you find that all your tunes just don’t fit then you can get yourself a bigger memory card and your clock will be stocked with all of your favourite music.

With a sleek, cubical, minimalist style, fantastic LCD display and a ton of options there is no reason not to buy this clock for your bedroom, or even your office. You can wake up to your own music and then take the clock with you to breakfast, or just let it sit there stately by your bedside, waiting for you to return. As a clock the MP3 Music Alarm Clock Cube is functional, as an accessory it borders on divine.

Sunrise System SRS250UK review

Before you balk at the price of this model, you really need to check it out. The Sunrise System Clock is a fantastic combination of features that includes a lamp that replicates natural sunlight. Those who suffer from SAD, depression, stress or poor sleeping habits will benefit from its natural waking routine that represents a sunrise. Gently wake up to natural light in your room, rather than being jolted awake by a buzzer or radio. One of the great features of this product is that it comes with an MMC slot and card so you can download your own music to fall asleep or wake up to. You can even set up different levels of light for each day’s alarm, in case you want a little more time on certain days of the week.

If you are away from home you can put on the security function which will randomly turn your light on and off throughout the night to deter burglars. The alarm volume is adjustable, or you can turn it off, and the clock is programmed to display in multiple languages.

This is a truly remarkable clock, and you will notice the difference in your sleep and wake patterns immediately. Imagine waking up refreshed and ready to get the day started, instead of having to pry your eyelids open and convince yourself to get up. The Sunrise System is a clock that covers it all, light, alarms, mp3 capability and natural light to wake up and fall asleep to. Now you’ll see why it is well worth the price.

Sunrise System SRS 100 Dawn Simulator Alarm Clock review

This is a great clock for anyone who likes to wake up to full light in the morning, or anyone who suffers from Seasonal Affective Disorder. The Sunrise System SRS 100 - Dawn Simulator Alarm Clock has a plug in the back for your lamp and the alarm will start increasing the light on your lamp slowly so your body can wake up more gently. When you do become fully awake you will feel more alert than if you were suddenly woken up by a buzzer or radio. It even has a sunset function that slowly decreases the light in the room, letting you fall asleep more naturally.

In case you are a heavy sleeper the alarm function also comes with sound that slowly increases, so as not to startle you. The clock also comes with snooze and a nightlight function. Probably the most impressive feature of this clock is that it has a security mode for when you are not home that will turn your lamp on and off randomly to deter burglars.

Anyone who finds that they get a bit blue in the winter months should try the Sunrise System SRS 100 - Dawn Simulator Alarm Clock and see if the increase in light helps them to feel better, it should. If you decide that you don’t like your lamp anymore it is no problem, just buy a new one and plug it in. The LCD display is big and easy to read, and the clock itself is stylish and fits in with any décor. You won’t find another sunlight simulator anywhere close to this price, so it is certainly a bargain.

Star Wars Darth Vader Radio Alarm Clock review

November 2, 2008 by SleepyBob · Leave a Comment

“Luke, I am your father” – If that line means nothing to you, you needn’t read any further. This is a radio alarm clock for Star Wars fans.

Shaped like Darth Vader, this radio alarm clock gives you the option of being awoken by a buzzer, the radio or by a Star Wars demo song. It features a digital clock on an LCD screen, which also shows the date and/or the radio station you are listening to.

This radio alarm clock requires 2 batteries, but these are included, so you don’t need to worry about any additional costs, and can be found on several e-commerce websites. We would recommend Amazon, as it is competitively priced, includes free delivery and is a highly reputable company.

Talking Dalek Alarm Clock review

October 29, 2008 by SleepyBob · Leave a Comment

Another alarm clock that doesn’t strictly fit into the “radio alarm clock” bracket, but it proved so popular with our team of testers that we had to give it a mention.

Firstly, we need to mention a couple of small flaws with this alarm clock – the first of those is the clock. It is smaller than on most standard radio alarm clocks, and isn’t particularly easy to see. Also, it requires 4 x AA batteries, which unhelpfully, are not included.

So, onto the upsides, and the biggest plus – it looks like a Dalek! What better way to wake up for a Doctor Who fan than to be “Exterminated!” When the alarm goes off, the head and laser light up and it bellows out one of three catchphrases:

“Exterminate!”

“You would make a good Dalek”

and “You are an enemy of the Daleks, you must be destroyed!”

All in all, this is one for the Doctor Who fans. Not the most functional, but great fun.
